FIRE PROTECTIVE PLASTERS

TEKROK S

An economically proven cement pre-mix material for fireproofing structural columns and beams in commercial buildings or as a fire barrier system.

TEKROK C

A new generation fireproofing plaster for use in the Chemical and Petrochemical Industries. It has recently been modified using advanced chemical technology improving durability and workability.

TEKROK TG

Is a modified form of Tekrok TG through the addition of chemical additives. Tekrok TG is used as a penetration seal for 120 minutes’ fire protection where material structural stability is required.

TEKROK CAST

Has been specially formulated as a cast-in place material. Tekrok Cast is used as an encasement for structural columns where fire protection as well as aesthetics are required.

TEKROK S

Tekrok S is of particular benefit where economic and speed of application are the main considerations. Tekrok S provides a number of benefits over conventional materials including durability, being light weight and asbestos free. Tekrok S is packaged in 15kg PVC bags. It also has applications such as a condensation control material and as a spray applied monolithic coating.

Application must be carried out by a specialist contractor approved by Mandoval Vermiculite. Tekrok S is applied in accordance with “Instructions for Application” available from Mandoval Vermiculite.

TEKROK C

Tekrok C Has been officially tested by SABS in accordance with the Mobile fire curve (Petrochemical) for 120 minutes fore protection as well as in compliance with the NFPA58 specification for flammable gas stroage vessels. As Tekrok C Is a Medium density material thus reducing the load on the Structure. It is also very durable and chemically resistant and will not crack or spall under mechanical impact or during actual fire. Tekrok C Has a high pH value of 12.5. Being high in alkalinity Tekrok C will not promote corrosion.

Tekrok C Is maunfactured in South Africa ensuring the availability of material for new installation or, if required, product for maintenance purposes thus ensuring the integrity of the system is maintained. Tekrok C can be spray applied using standard grade or hand applied using Tekrok C. Dependent on final dry flim thickness Tekrok C can be built up in a series of passes or in one coat. Application must be carried out by a specialist contractor approved by Mandoval Vermiculite. Tekrok C is applied in accordance with “Instructions for Application” available from Mandoval Vermiculite.

TEKROK TG

Tekrok TG plaster consists of Vermiculite, cement, lime, mica and thixotropic chemical additives which assist when trowelling. The plaster may only be applied by an approved specialist contractor for the use on structural steel and LPG Vessels in the Petrochemical Industry. Tekrok TG is specifically designed to meet the needs of Hydrocarbon and Chemical Processing Industries to withstand high thermal shock experienced in high intensity hydrocarbon fuelled fires. Tekrok TG is packaged in 20kg PVC bags.
